Sophisticated and striking ornamentation coupled with first class craftsmanship make Nasrabad carpets coveted peasant carpets. The small village, located not far from Isfahan, has a long weaving tradition. Large quantities are not produced due to the low population density and subsequent low number of weavers. The farmers’ modest houses, where carpets are woven exclusively in the winter months, only permit crafting of carpets up to 300 x 200 cm in size.
