Senneh

Sanandadj is the capital city of the kurds in Persia. Numerous knot weaving offshoots, such as Bidjar, Goltuch and especially Senneh are located in the Kurdistan Region that surrounds the city.
The Senneh carpet is synonymous with diamond-shaped centerpieces, which can be found among Kurdish carpets in different versions. The Senneh carpet in today's style, is a medium-fine knot weave in brighter reds and blues that have been perfected.
Older specimens, by contrast, have a darker appearance and especially have a flat pile; however they evidence a finer knot density than today’s Senneh carpets.
